EU consignments are shipped with the IOPEPC certificate of export (IOPEPC, not EIC, is the competent authority for sesame) and tested at an ISO 17025 laboratory for Salmonella and ethylene oxide. The EU checks 30% of Indian sesame consignments for Salmonella and 20% for ethylene oxide.
